DESCRIPTION:Our Year 5 classes will be going on a school trip to the Xplore! Wrexham on Wednesday 25th March 2026.  \n The pupils will take part in an exciting\, hands-on science workshop all about forces and rockets. Children will explore the scientific principles needed to launch a rocket and discover how different forces affect movement and flight.  \n During the workshop\, learners will:  \n\nDiscuss what is needed to successfully launch a rocket \n\n\nDesign and create their own paper rocket \n\n\nTest their ideas by launching their rockets across the room \n\nThis interactive session encourages curiosity\, teamwork and problem-solving\, while bringing classroom science to life in a fun and memorable way.  \n We are really looking forward to this exciting day of creativity and exploration!

DESCRIPTION:To enhance our learning of Crime and Punishment this term\, we have arranged an exciting educational visit to Shrewsbury Prison. \nDuring our visit\, the children will take part in the Education Behind Bars Programme\, a unique and immersive learning experience designed to extend classroom learning. The programme is aligned with the national curriculum and engages students through thought‑provoking\, interactive activities. \nShrewsbury Prison provides a range of comprehensive resources for pupils to ensure the impact of the visit continues long after the day itself. The programme consists of three core elements: \n\nGuided Tour – led by trained prison guides\nEducational Activity – curriculum-linked\, interactive learning\nSelf‑Guided Discovery – an opportunity for children to explore key areas with structured materials\n\nWhat children need to bring: \n\nChildren must come to school in full uniform.\nA waterproof coat should be worn or brought to school.\nA packed lunch will be required.\n\nIf your child receives Free School Meals\, a packed lunch will be provided.\nChildren may also choose to order a school packed lunch. School lunches provided by Caterlink will include a sandwich\, a cookie\, a piece of fruit\, and a bottle of water.\n\n\n\nBook via parentpay
