Wrekin View Primary and Nursery: a community-based academy, part of the Learning Community Trust.
Wrekin View has been at the heart of our community since 2004. We are proud to offer a warm, welcoming environment where every child feels calm, safe, and ready to learn. Children from all backgrounds are supported to become happy, confident, and curious learners. We believe every child has unique strengths, and we work hard to recognise and celebrate them. At Wrekin View, we learn and grow together as part of a caring school family.
As a larger-than-average primary school, we welcome children aged 2 to 11. Getting to know each child—and their family—really matters to us. This helps us give the right support so every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We’re proud to offer a high-quality education backed by excellent IT resources and fantastic outdoor learning spaces. These include our forest school area, large playing fields, and an all-weather games area that children can enjoy all year round. Our stunning views of the Wrekin create a truly special place to learn and play.
Our vision—“happy, successful, curious communicators”—reflects our goal of creating a school where every child can truly thrive. We know how important strong home–school partnerships are, so we place a big focus on supporting everyone’s mental health and well-being, offering caring and practical help for both pupils and adults.
At Wrekin View, our dedicated teaching team delivers a broad and balanced curriculum that prepares children with the knowledge and skills they need for the next stage of their education. We bring learning to life through exciting trips, hands‑on experiences, and visits from inspiring speakers. These opportunities help children build the essential skills they’ll need for life in the modern world.
We believe that “with small steps, every pupil can make giant progress.” This guides everything we do as we nurture each child’s individual potential. Our school has a warm, family‑friendly atmosphere, and parents and carers are always welcome at the many events, celebrations, and learning opportunities we host throughout the year.
