WREKIN VIEW AND WREKIN GIANTS
Nursery
A typical day at Wrekin View is
Filled with engaging activities that promote holistic development
At Wrekin View, our nursery provision is rooted in a strong belief that the early years lay the foundations for lifelong learning, wellbeing and confidence. Our academy is guided by clear values that champion independence, reflection and ambition, while placing belonging and inclusion at the heart of everything we do. We proudly celebrate the diversity of our community and the unique experiences every child and family brings. As part of the Learning Community Trust, we benefit from shared expertise, high expectations and a collective commitment to excellence.
Our welcoming nursery for children aged 2 to 4 offers a nurturing start to education, where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn. Carefully designed indoor and outdoor environments, alongside skilled and caring staff, create a calm yet stimulating space where curiosity, creativity and communication can flourish. Learning is purposeful, playful and responsive to each child’s stage of development, supporting language, physical development, independence and social confidence.
We offer government-funded nursery places for 15 and 30 hours per week, alongside flexible session options, lunch club and extended care to support working families. (Additional costs may apply.) Our approach is designed to balance high-quality early education with the practical needs of families, ensuring children experience consistency, security and enjoyment throughout their day.
Everything we do is guided by “The Wrekin View Way”: fostering happiness and a sense of belonging, supporting success through engaging learning experiences, igniting curiosity, and developing confident communicators. We see parents and carers as essential partners and actively encourage strong home-school relationships to support each child’s development.
Inspiring spaces for early learning
Our nursery benefits from high-quality facilities that support focus, wellbeing and exploration, including:
- Dedicated nursery spaces tailored to different age groups
- A specialist resource base supporting speech and language development
- Spacious, well-resourced classrooms with interactive technology
- Quiet reading and learning areas that encourage a love of books
- Extensive outdoor provision, including EYFS play areas, forest school, playgrounds, a multi-use games area and open field space
- An on-site IT suite supporting whole-class learning experiences
These thoughtfully planned environments help reduce cognitive overload, allowing children to feel calm, secure and ready to engage. Outdoor learning is an integral part of the day, with regular Forest School sessions and opportunities for physical activity, exploration and relationship-building in safe, open spaces.
Each day offers a rich blend of indoor learning, outdoor play and meaningful experiences that support children to grow in confidence, resilience and curiosity, while developing a strong connection with the natural world.
