As a Parent Governor at Wrekin View Primary School, I am pleased to have the opportunity to support the school and contribute to its continued development. As a parent, I am committed to helping ensure that every child receives a high-quality education in a safe, inclusive and ambitious environment, where they feel confident and able to thrive.
Professionally, I have 16 years of experience working in procurement and supply chain, including over 10 years in commercial contract management. I have also established my own consulting company, supporting organisations with ad hoc, interim and longer-term requirements. I currently work for a not-for-profit charity as Head of Procurement, where my role involves strategic planning, governance, value for money and evidence-based decision-making.
This is my first term as a governor, and I hope to bring a constructive, balanced and collaborative approach to the role. I am confident analysing information, asking thoughtful questions and considering different viewpoints before reaching decisions. I value accountability, transparency and partnership, and I am keen to support the school in monitoring outcomes, upholding safeguarding responsibilities and ensuring that decisions remain focused on the needs of pupils and families.
Outside of work, I am a husband and father of three girls. I have lived in Telford all my life, mainly in Wellington, and I care deeply about the local community. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and building LEGO Technic. I look forward to working with leaders, governors, staff and families to help Wrekin View continue to be a place where every child can succeed.
