Our Year 5 & 6 boys football team took part in a cup match against Newdale Primary School last night, which we hosted at Wrekin View. Despite going into the game as underdogs, the boys showed tremendous determination, resilience and teamwork throughout the match.
The team battled incredibly hard from start to finish and played some fantastic football, creating chances, putting their bodies on the line defensively, and never giving up. Although the final score finished 6-3 in favour of Newdale, the boys can be extremely proud of their performance, effort and attitude on the pitch.
It was wonderful to see the players representing the school so positively, supporting one another and continuing to compete with great spirit against strong opposition.
A huge thank you goes to all the parents and families who gave up their time to come along and support the team. Your encouragement from the sidelines is always greatly appreciated and makes a real difference to the players.
We would also like to thank Mr Kilburn for giving up his time to referee the match.
Well done, boys. You should all be very proud of yourselves!
