As a co-opted governor at Wrekin View Primary School, I am pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to the school community and support its continued development. My career has spanned healthcare and ministry, giving me a broad perspective on care, leadership, and community engagement. I believe these experiences enable me to offer constructive support and thoughtful challenge within my governance role.
Throughout my time as a governor across a range of schools, I have developed a strong understanding of effective school leadership, safeguarding, and the importance of community relationships. Having served on all committees and undertaken roles including Chair and safeguarding governor, I recognise the vital role governance plays in ensuring schools are safe, supportive, and aspirational environments for pupils and staff alike.
I am particularly committed to ensuring that safeguarding and wellbeing remain central to school improvement. When individuals feel safe, valued, and supported, they are able to thrive, and learning can flourish. I see governance as a key part of maintaining these principles while supporting leaders to deliver the best outcomes for children.
Alongside my professional and governance experience, I value family life and enjoy a range of personal interests, from music and cinema to collecting memorabilia and supporting my football team. I bring this balance of professional insight and personal perspective to my role, and I look forward to supporting Wrekin View Primary School on its journey.
