On Tuesday, a small group of our Year 5 children enjoyed a fantastic Outdoor Adventurous Activities (OAA) day in the beautiful countryside around Sheinton, near Much Wenlock.
Travelling by minibus with staff and an experienced Mountain Leader Martin Weaver, the children spent the day exploring a variety of landscapes, including fields, woodland paths and countryside trails. The day provided a wonderful opportunity for children to experience learning beyond the classroom while enjoying the great outdoors.
Throughout the walk, the children demonstrated exemplary behaviour and were a real credit to the school. They listened carefully to instructions, showed respect for the environment and each other, and approached every challenge with enthusiasm and positivity.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing a range of animals in their natural habitats. The children were excited to observe wildlife up close and learn more about the world around them. They also took part in a variety of engaging outdoor activities, including pond dipping, which sparked plenty of curiosity and excitement.
The day was filled with laughter, teamwork and discovery. Children worked together, supported one another and embraced every opportunity to learn through exploration. Experiences like this help to build confidence, resilience and a deeper appreciation of the natural environment.
We are incredibly proud of how the children represented our school and would like to thank everyone involved in making the day such a success.
