About

I have been serving in this role for the past 3 years, and I am honoured to be part of the leadership team that supports this wonderful school.
My professional background is in early years and primary education, having worked as a headteacher for many years. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that schools face, and I am passionate about using my knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of the pupils at Wrekin View.
In addition to my professional experience, I have also had the privilege of serving as a governor for 25 years, across various schools. This extensive governance experience has equipped me with the skills and expertise to effectively contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
On a personal note, I am a retired headteacher, and I am excited to bring my diverse experiences and perspectives to the table as I work alongside the dedicated staff, pupils, and families of Wrekin View Primary.
As a governor, I have been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the school’s SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provision, ensuring that every pupil receives the support and resources they need to thrive. This is a role that I take very seriously, and I am committed to advocating for the needs of all pupils and working collaboratively with the school community to achieve excellence.
I chose to become involved in school governance because, as a retired headteacher, I wanted to use my experience to help other heads and schools navigate the challenges they face. I believe that by sharing my knowledge and expertise, I can contribute to the continued success and growth of Wrekin View Primary School, and I am excited to be a part of this journey.
