As a co-opted governor, I am excited to contribute my expertise and passion for education to support the growth and success of Wrekin View Primary School and Nursery.
With a professional background as a geotechnical engineer, I believe I can offer much to the school. Prior to my current role as chair of the governing body, I held a parent governor position for the last two years and have been involved in employment panels as well. In preparation for taking on the chair of the Local Governing Body, I have been regularly meeting with the head teacher and the outgoing chair. I have also participated in Telford & Wrekin safeguarding audits of the school and was involved in the 2025 OFSTED inspection.
Having lived in Wellington for the past 10 years, I have a strong sense of pride in my local community and I am committed to supporting Wrekin View Primary School and Nursery to be the best it can be. As the governor with responsibility for safeguarding, I am dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all the pupils. I became a governor because I believe in the power of education to transform lives, and I want to play a part in helping the school to provide an exceptional learning experience for all its pupils. I look forward to working closely with the school’s leadership team, staff, and other stakeholders to achieve this goal.
