Last Tuesday afternoon, our Year 5/6 Boys Football Team represented the school brilliantly in the group stages of the Telford and Wrekin School Sports Partnership tournament. The boys produced an excellent set of performances, winning two matches, drawing one and narrowly losing a very close game which they were extremely unfortunate not to get something from. Throughout the afternoon, they demonstrated fantastic footballing ability, determination and resilience, competing with great confidence against strong opposition.
What stood out most was the incredible teamwork, skill and passion shown by every player. The boys supported one another superbly, worked hard for the team and displayed outstanding sportsmanship at all times. We are delighted to have received confirmation this week that their efforts have been rewarded, and they have successfully progressed to the next round of the main cup competition. Congratulations to all of the players on this fantastic achievement, and we wish them the very best of luck in the next stage of the tournament! ⚽🏆
